Earthwork involves measurement of soil volumes and sometimes other concepts like haulage, all determined by computing by differencing the existing terrain with design surfaces. This is done in many ways. In this course, the emphasis is on how cross-sections are used to determine those volumes. There is also an introduction to the concepts of swell, shrinkage, and construction soil classification. Running Time 28 Minutes.
